Very true. A couple decades ago it was just a desert.

I know man it's crazy the amount of technology available and money readily accessible to build all of those buildings in such a short time.

man their investors have so much money they literally can throw it away

apparently its part of the culture to build with their money.... its not all about materialism....

but its hard to believe with how much money they have and all the extravagance and over the top shit.... dubai is a prime example

personally i have no urge to go there at all, id rather go to machu picchu/angkor wat or some old city in europe or something like that

dubai seems like vegas on roids.

I never been to Vegas. But. I want to hang out with a tiger. I want to lay out in the sun on one of those beautiful beaches.

I want to be able to say "I went to the richest place in the world" just once

Observation deck @ Burj Khalifa + antenna tour, gold souk, ferrari world>>>>>

There's so much to do there, from dune boarding, skiing & ice skating, fine dining, shopping, skydiving, etc., etc..

Traveling is something worthy of investing in. Just enriches one's horizon immensely.

In the Caribbean, if I'm not mistaken? Wonder if it's a tax oasis possibility..

Yeah the Caribbean. We went on a sandals all inclusive resort. Plus added some stuff. Paid a little more than $7000 for 8 days/7 nights. It was amazing!

Those exotic retreats usually are to die for.. Plus it's nice to get away for a few days of relaxation.. :)))
