Who were you in high school?

I think a long running theme in my life has been belonging to everybody and nobody. Looking back at me as a teen, I was basically this social chameleon who could code switch on a dime and be whatever my surroundings needed me to be.

Played sports all 4 years, fit in with the black and white crowd, cool with the weirdos/nerds/losers/stoners/etc.

I was a class clown but got good grades and my teachers generally adored me.

I was beatin up the bullies and had all the bitches. Idk what that is.

I was always one of the popular kids.. i had an older sister who was popular and i was cool without trying in my experience at jr high.
Played sports

HS i moved to a far away country neighborhood on a lake. I fluked out into the cool crowd by being an attractive young man.
Played sports in HS as well

but realistically i think it was because of my ability to get along with most people, my willingness to do shit like drugs/drink... it was just all the requirements to be cool. At the same time i was friendly with everyone so i just got along with folks and had no enemies...

I was naive as hell though, i just thought folks were real nice and cool too, and just enjoyed myself. I look back now and shudder with all the nuance i missed.

female class clown + cool with all groups but had a few main ones (generally did whatever the fuck i wanted, and wasn't bound by others time.. if i didn't feel like hanging around certain people on a certain day.. i did it with no drama) + extreme music/clothing enthusiast + the plug for parties/clubs because all brother and cousins were promoters & held stakes in all the major clubs/venues in the city + serial skipper + no work ever done + pleasure to have in class + always smiling + never got in trouble/no detention or nothing ever

basically school work was the last thing on my mind, and being a free social creature was everything
