Why is tech so high I put him a few spots above Eminem and DMX he is goat

while I haven't listened to his whole catalog

i also haven't been compelled to

because he is a bit cartoonish for my taste overall

a bit one note in style and content.

If it was a list based on technical skills

He'd be top 20 for me for sure. prolly top 10. Twista as well. I'd have to think on it.

But Im pretty positive I'd have Em at number 1 and i think im right. I think he is the actual best technical rapper to ever breathe. There is something mythical and chosen about that.

At the very least he has a strong argument for best technical rapper and a strong argument for mainstream GOAT. Thats a powerful combination. Along with a legendary underground come up and a feature run that was unmatched until arguably J Cole who killed everything from like 2018-2024.

If I could rewrite history I'd go back in time and encourage Cole to battle Kendrick & Drake. I'd even ghost write to help him secure the W.

He was supposed to be the GOAT.

This is actually a really fair point. The issue is the production as you pointed out. Ye just might have the most “great” songs out of all the rappers. But you’re right, it isn’t necessarily the rapping in and of itself.

People act like he wasn’t lyrical

But he was so slick with it

It never ever sounded like he was trying to lyrical miracle you

But his bars hit harder than most

He had perfect voice, delivery and flow.

He’s what people think Biggie is.

But he also had an incredible hook game.

And a dominating presence.


How is he a top 20 rapper? He ran on the BET stage and danced around like 5 of most ppls top 10 openly taunting them. Nobody did shit about it.

He just lost passion for music at some point


50 is a better writer than Busta Rhymes by a mile. At their peaks. Busta is better in almost every way technically. But he didn’t say shit really and didn’t hit the same heights overall musically.

Busta Rhymes is an incredibly skilled rapper who also made some hits. 50 is an artist who used music to project his entire persona perfectly. He was the epitome of gangsta rap.

Cardi wouldn’t exist without Nicki lmaooo

I guarantee Nicki has written way more of her verses than Cardi

Cardi literally has one album of work anybody cares about

And I personally don’t care about it at all
