Whatever that means. What I’m saying isn’t me trying to convert people into having an entrepreneurial spirit. Very gay and dated mentality.
I genuinely understand that most people couldn’t give a shit about ownining their own business.
I’m highlighting autonomy and agency.
What’s some shit you can do now with AI that most people don’t realize yet

No need to go that deep with it, but this is a classic case of entrepreneurial myopia and it’s not a totally bad thing. It can be used as motivation, but the reality doesn’t change.

Yawn
Uselsss corperate speak strikes again
As an owner/operator.. if you are mopping floors, you are mopping your OWN floors
Not someone else’s floors, and then you have to ask if you can have a weekend off, act like you care about people and things you don’t, have to be fake all the time so it becomes your default personality.. shit like that
they’d rather sell their soul for a comfortable cage than face the raw, terrifying beauty of total freedom
I see no dignity in that

I beg to differ. Humans are conditioned to be autonomous, running on a hamster wheel is the least natural state for a human.
Even in impoverished countries, people make ends meet by owning their own small businesses. Little shops, cleaning businesses, driving rickshaws, food stalls
Actually most of the world is struggling, and most of the world works for themselves.

I am relatively ambitious, but I’ve never had the yearning to be an entrepreneur. I wish I did, I think I’d do okay.

i agree the majority of humans are struggling and in the rat race. If you look up world incomes, the vast majority of humans make less than 30k/yr
Its a very very small amount of folks who make over a million AND have very minimal work related responsibilties.

It’s not corporate speak lol. It’s just business period. Whether it’s a small business or a large corporation.
The fundamentals do not change and the tail doesn’t start wagging the dog just because you are an owner/operator
If you lose a contract, that’s you being fired
If you take an L in revenue, that’s you being fired and forced to attain new customers, that’s the equivalent to looking for a job after losing it and requires the same amount of effort to sell yourself just like you’d need to sell your business.
Everyone is on a proverbial hamster wheel.
As stated before, what you described was retirement, because someone has to make the high-risk decisions and come up with strategies to move a company forward, protect investments, revenue, keep creditors happy and make sure the product is up to standard. That shit is important and there is no auto-pilot button for that, especially in this economy.

If you go to a grocery store to buy grocery, are the people who buy groceries the grocery stores boss?
Everything isn’t relative. Being an owner/operator and working in corporate as a non-owner/operator isn’t the same thing, at all.
You’re speaking in hyperbolic hypotheticals. “We all gunna die” “we all gotta eat” “if you lose a contract, it’s like you’re getting fired” - that’s even if your business has a business model like that
It’s not about that
It’s about autonomy & agency over yourself and your life.
